ARC Li-ion Battery Pack
Barely larger than a deck of cards and weighing just 320g (less
than 10 oz!), but putting out an amazing 11.1 volts the rechargeable
Lithium Ion battery powers the ARC Li-ion for 3.5 hours, yet is
so compact and light that you’ll hardly know it’s attached
to your frame or stowed in your jersey pocket.
The Light & Motion ARC comes standard with our Multi-Chem Charger. The Multi-Chem
Charger quickly charges your battery in 3.5 hours and ensures optimal battery
life by not overcharging the cells.
LED indicators signal the charging is
complete and batteries can be left on the charger indefinitely to maintain
their maximum charge state. Charging is monitored by measuring the change
in temperature over the change in time (dT/dt), which is the method recommended
by all NiMH battery manufacturers.
Additionally, the Multi-Chem Charger accepts
wall voltage from 100-260 volts, so charging in the United States as well
as Internationally is not a problem.
The ARC Li-ion comes with both a oversized (25.8-31.8)
compatible bar mount as well as our super adjustable and rugged Cabeza
(helmet) mount
as standard- Forget about the debate about which is best; helmet or handlebar
mount? Decide for yourself. It is as easy as removing a screw and switching
mounts. Both our helmet and handlebar mounts also feature our neat break-away
disks which means even if you don’t see that low hanging branch,
or nasty rut your light head won’t take the punishment. Multi adjustable
and simple our mounts let you put the light where you need it and keep
it there.
Two output levels provide multiple burn times. Start up the ARC Li-ion
by double clicking the new more positive power button on the rear of
the light. The light comes on in the full power mode; putting out a
jaw dropping 675 lumens of clean, daylight balanced light and giving
you 3.5 hours of run time. Press the button again for low power and the
slow flashing LED confirms the low setting for 4 hours of a still
incredible 550 lumens of even light output.
The Light & Motion ARC Li-ion uses a proprietary peened aluminum
reflector to ensure a super clean, even beam pattern with no jagged
edges or dark spots. While others are satisfied to use integrated lamps
and reflectors originally designed for movie projectors, we spared
no expense to give your eyes the best quality light available. Whether
you mount the ARC Li-ion on your head or bar, the bright center spot
and clean fill light will give you the confidence to ride any trail,
or road at speed and with complete confidence.
"The
lights are the greatest thing I think I have ever used.
They are
flat amazing!”

Are you a serious 24hr competitor? Or do you just need the brightest,
whitest light available for your local night ride? Now you don’t
need to drag around a heavy old battery. There’s a new king of
the jungle in HID lighting systems. The ARC Li-ion turns night into
day and its super light; super compact, 300g Lithium Ion battery pack
allows you to ride further and faster. The ARC Li-ion’s High
Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp provides 13.5 watts of intense natural
light that is 3 times brighter than comparable halogen systems. A
feather weight battery, multiple output levels, low battery warning
and auto
shutoff are just a few features that make the ARC Li-ion the new king...
Batteries don't like to be fully drained (who does?). The ARC Li-ion
has a built in low battery warning LED that gives the user feedback
of when the battery has approximately 5 minutes left of run time. Further
warning occurs when the light output dims significantly at exactly
1 minute before the system turns off automatically. Shutdown occurs
to prevent battery deep discharge and maintain the overall life of
the battery. Tech note: HID lamps use a ballast. Some manufacturers’ state
that the ballast shuts off before the battery would be damaged. However,
our tests show that the ballast will continue to light the lamp below
the recommended battery shutoff voltage and that shutoff circuitry
is necessary to protect the battery from deep discharge.
